New Design and Structure

While I've created the technical foundation for this new site quite a while ago, I've decided at that point to migrate the old design and content structure as I had neither time nor bright ideas to achieve meaningful improvements in these areas. Thankfully the old design was already done with CSS and it thus was quite easy now to migrate most contents to the current design.

Now I've achieved the second step and can present the new design and structure having the following properties:

  • Quite cross browser tested CSS (tested in Firefox 1.x, Opera 8.5 and IE 6.0).
  • Layout should look accurate down to a resolution of 800x600 pixels.
  • HTML should also look fine in textmode browsers (links, w3m, etc.). Though there are still lacking some enhancements for disabled people (access keys, optimizations for screen readers).
  • Blog-like structure, though there are no provisions for dynamic features like trackbacks, comments, etc. to retain the static exportability.
